You don't "fiddle" with Evods.... they are $8.00 each...with 1 coil. My 1st one lasted a long time. On #2 now (tank that is. Many coils of course).

Tibs, I have an evod tank that started to leak recently. I just had to change the head/coil. there was a small crack in the (plastic/rubber/silicon?) seal around the base of the head/coil that occurred after several months and 2-3 cleanings

problem is - where did i put the coils?
and sure enough ...... just looked in one box and there are several mini protanks and vivi novas, all still in their packaging

I just have the one, and it's a bit airy, so i have to turn the voltage higher than i do for my aspire bdcs, even though they are nominally the same resistance.
I finally broke out my protank, and since i put the evod head with the longer tube in it, it's not too bad.

I do not like the ProTanks but lots of people do.
the thing to do is try out that stuff i got here already or at least see which heads are interchangeable
My last evod (RIP) was broken around the center "stem" after a long life. It cracked (and leaked).
So I got a new one. Base is still fine, it was just the "tank" part. Was over 6 months old........IDK how old really. Was a while after GF was using them so I wanted to know how they worked so I could help.

the protank heads and evod heads are interchangeable.
I finally broke out my protank recently (after 2 years of sitting in a box) , and since i put the evod head with the longer tube in it, it's not too bad.

I looked around too, and found a mini Protank in my collection, and it's not as bad as the original which I disliked immensely.
The mini is not so bad.
Luckily, it takes the Evod coils, so all is OK.
