Fran:

Let's check networking. From the windows screen, you need to find "Command Prompt". RIGHT-Click on it, and select "Run as Administrator". It should give you a command prompt.

Then type "ipconfig" and press enter. Tell me what it says.

Look at all the techies around here.

The "default gateway" is what gets you from your local network (maybe just your one machine, or whatever computer devices are in the house attached to the local network) to the internet. It basically says "your door to the internet is at xx.xx.xx.xx". Yours is blank. So you won't get to the internet with that box.

The router is supposed to answer a "broadcast" message (a shout-out) from your computer when your computer boots, and tell it "hey I'm here and here's your IP address and here's your default gateway (me)). Something must be messed up.

Tiberoo, I didn't directly get an answer from vaporshark, but someone posted a response they got from them. I don't know why they don't put this on their website or facebook page.

"We would like to apologize for the delay you are experiencing in our order processing and shipping time. We understand you may have placed your order with the hopes of getting your order before the Holiday Season and want to be transparent about what has held us back from our usual speed of service.

As you may know, a small percentage of the Evolv boards that drive our device have had a quality control issue in regards to the screen readout becoming grainy or scrambled. While this issue has been addressed and resolved with Evolv, we are having our Quality Control Team hand-check each device prior to sending it out to you in efforts to thwart any shipment that may have had a faulty board. Due to this unforeseen process, our usual speed of fulfillment and delivery has been compromised and we are doing everything in our power to get as many devices out as quickly as possible. Despite us being able to quality check and ship over 300 rDNA 40's per day, we are aware that we will not be able to meet our stated 15 business day processing period.

"We really appreciate your business and while we would love nothing more than to get these devices in your hands today, we want to assure ourselves that the product we are sending you is free of any screen readout defect and fully meeting our quality expectations.

In light of this, we understand that you may not want to wait longer than the initially expected time frame and would instead prefer a full refund. If this is the case, please let us know and we will gladly issue you one (typical refund turnaround time is 3-5 days). However, if you do decide to wait you can hold your position in line for the rDNA 40 and be assured that you or your loved ones will receive one of the market's best devices and that it has been quality tested and approved!

Regardless of your decision, we appreciate your business and from the bottom of our hearts apologize for this unforeseen inconvenience. More over, we appreciate your patience!"

and here i thought you were running out of energy doing a walk by instead of a fly by! ;)

    i get it it now - you're going for a walk and bye-bye :D

lol. It was a play on words!!! everyone does a flyby, so I had to be different and do a walk-bye. I was walking instead of flying and saying bye (as in, see ya) instead of by. never mind.
