It was a big fire- massive flames. it was scary. The phone pole by the street looked like it was smoking at one point. It may have taken some work to keep the occupied house from going up.

My neighborhood is pretty transitional still. It seems that an abandoned house burns once every couple of years or so. Eventually, we'll run out of empty houses. One of them that burned last night caught on fire last summer, but it wasn't as bad as this one. I think that squatters may have been there.

Well, I did it, again. I just ordered the Prime prime rib from Pat Lafrieda's in New York for Christmas dinner. Amazingly, the price did not go up from last year. It was ONLY $280 for a 9lb roast. And to think, I'll balk at paying $300 for a Vapor Flask. I guess we know where the Pepper's priorities are? Food.:D
