I'm dubious as to the result, but you can try:

1) Find "Command Prompt" on the app start screen.
2) RIGHT CLICK on it and select "run as Administrator".
3) Answer any popup "are you sure" messages, and get a command prompt
4) At the command prompt, type "wuapp" without the quotes and press enter.

that last command should run it. It may be running, but not show up for some reason. Then it's trouble.......

I'm moving slow today, snails. Strained my back a bit moving Christmas trees and decorations around at GF's place yesterday. Not bad, but it's a bit stiff/sore. Sigh. Will take it easy today.

    I don't think she even gets that far CES...she can't see the screen to select them...

    Maybe check the log files Fran.
    You have to run "Event Viewer".
    And then look at administrative events. It's confusing though, as there's a ton of stuff in the logs. It may give some clues as to what's happening.
