So, update:
Let car sit yesterday saying to myself that I wanted to do research and also that it was too cold.
So I started it up today. It worked fine...as much as I checked it.
So the good news is:
A) Not the alternator.
That's good. It put out good voltage. Which means that:
B) The belt slipped for some reason. Assuming that reason was "it was wet" or just needs replacing...bet wet.
C) No leaking seen today. I didn't run it enough to have the thermostat kick open.
D) Means (Still maybe) water pump as it's right above the pulley's and IF it leaked out the weep hole, it got the belt wet and the belt slipped a lot.
-or-
E) Hoses in the "when hot" path. Or radiator. Still "or water pump" too, but I don't know why it didn't leak if the pump was bad.
