It's official, with single digit temps (7 degrees), the condensation on the inside of my single pane windows freezes. Thank gosh for thermal curtains.

Between the propane heater and the furnace,the temp in the basement is 36 which is just dandy.
That's far enough above freezing to give you some peace of mind, Fran. How much wood does it take to make your porch habitable?
We go though probably 6 cords on the porch. I actually have to block the heat off from the porch in this weather cause the furnace won't run.
It's great that the wood stove puts off that much heat....and kinda sorta almost makes all the wood fetching and stacking worth it.
If it's a least 30 overnight we let the woodstove heat the house. The furnace won't run til the fire dies down.
