Don't give Tibs a weather report....she'll facepalm you. I've seen it happen. It ain't pretty.

i have to admit i kept a close eye on the weather the last few days and was happy the mild spell did not come till today. tom and i had to wait for a teenager's help till yesterday :(

(((Tibs)))

morning y'all. beasties woke me up extra early, so i let them out and fed them and then we all went back to bed. Got my cleaning done yesterday (including cleaning what will be my new lab space at work. That particular cleaning required the squishing of 3 large spiders- ICK!! eeew!- that had taken up residence while the space was used only for storage. )

Sunny today, supposed to get almost warm. leisurely so far, with a vape meet this afternoon.

Morning Giant Spider Slayer!
Minstrels will tell legends, I'm sure.

If only i had been able to take a slaying selfie (but i need both hands for spider squishing). Without it, i suspect that the minstrel tales will be relegated to the dustbin (as were the remaining spider bits and webs)

There are some spiders I'm fine with. For example I like orb weavers and crab spiders. And i can tolerate most as long as they are outside.

However the venomous type (think these might have been black house spiders) , lurking in indoor places where i might have to reach in darkness just aren't going to make it.

I had gently carefully taken down the blackout curtain (i'd seen the webs) and put it on the floor, and when i looked down, there were two huge spiders sitting next to each other, staring at me accusingly. Had there been someone available who was willing to relocate them, I'd have allowed it. And allowed relocation of the 3rd that was living behind stuff in a corner. But, alas, it was just me all alone with them and my heebie jeebies.

I got the heebie jeebies from reading this. I would have burned the curtain.:D Me and spiders do not get along at all.

good morning. I can still safely say that.:)

It's championship sunday. having marinated flank steak on the grill today. having a few friends over today to watch the games. no beer today.:( I'm going into workout mode. may your day be filled with joy, laughter, and football.:D... and shelve the book.

p.s. what a miserable weather day. it's gloomy and raining. perfect day to do nothing and watch football.:)
