it's not like smokers aren't getting formaldehyde. correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that is one of the by-products of tobacco being burn't at such high temperatures (up to 1200 degrees)
Good morning everyone.
As I recall, that was one of the points of an anti-smoking PSA - cigarette smoke contains formaldehyde... along with how many other chemicals?
Now going back to the temperature thing - if I'm using let's say a 1.8 ohm coil at 3.7 volts, can anyone tell me what the temp would get up to for that? Are the higher temps just for the higher wattage/voltage mods?

It's hard to say without knowing more about the specific coil. I don't think we have much data on coil specifics. However, in general, the evaporation point of the juice is below the point of concern. So if you're not waaaay overheating it, the juice should cool the coil. As to getting down to the molecular level and figuring it all out, or better yet actually measuring it under proper-working conditions....who knows? The study hasn't been done with all device types and all coils.

We don't really know the temps. We do know that "standard" e-cigs using stock stuff (maybe cig-a-likes, maybe eGo...IDK...will have to go look) produce little to no formaldehyde. There's been studies of e-cig vapor. I think Rolly and the gang have posted stuff. Maybe do a forum search for "formaldehyde" and see what you come up with.

But I can't put an exact number on the temp. Maybe someone else can, but I can't.

Basically, vape at as low a setting as you can that works properly. Don't vape dry wicks.

Le Pepper is Le Whipped.... again. And it only gets more difficult as the weeks progress. I looked at this 12 week program and the first week looked relatively easy. I am eating so much food that I'm tired of eating. Eating 4000 thousand calories a day is a tough job, especially if it is clean food. To bulk up for the movie, American sniper, Bradley cooper was eating 8000 calories a day while working out. He added about 40 pounds of muscle doing this.

I guess we all have our problems.

with the context of temps that it takes to burn the liquid to a crisp, 410 doesn't sound too bad.

Does anyone remember what the estimates of temp were when people were truing to find whether the temps that PVs reached were sufficient to cause the VG to break down into acrolein? IIRC someone did similar tests here on ECF several years ago, and the data and consensus at the time was that dangerous temps were only reached with dry hits. (Katya? )

i swear i remember that temp wasn't all that high - but i don't get along with ecf's search engine - where is that tweety? :?:

lol. of course you do. my little queen has had a tough day.:D

i sure did :D
