A dishpan. Friend is coming to shovel the roof off in the morning.

For now. The ceiling has to come down and be replaced.

No chance of that I'm afraid. The sheetrock is wet,the insulation......We'll have to keep the snow off it and save pennies to replace before next winter. At least the help is free............I hope.

Will you be able to patch the roof, Fran, or will it need to be replaced too?

Total bummer Fran.

Yeah, rip it out when you get a chance...sooner the better...try and dry it if you can before too...less chance of mold if you get to it now...IDK how though. Watch out for water and electrical cords. (You and DH know all that I'm sure...I just worry about mold...can make you very sick).

Roofing is not cheap either. How old is the roof? You going to have to do the whole thing? Can you do it in sections to spread the cost?

roof might be ok - maybe it's just damming with all that snow cover!

and that reminds me of bear - wonder how his roof is faring with all the preventative maintenance he did
