I have a friend/handyman coming over in an hour to change the smoke detector batteries. Yay!

The chirping really bothers my girl dog. She's fine with thunderstorms and such, but fears small children, and (now) smoke detector chirping.

After i get the fur and dust reduced, i am spending the rest of the day on the couch.

We sampled quite a few single malts last night (everyone brought one) - only tiny sips of each, with good food, over a long time...but it adds up to being a teensy bit tired today

the Laphroig quarter cask (really, really smoky and peaty), followed by either the Highland Park (smooth and sweet) or the Ardberg (which on of my friends called 'aardvark'), and then the Balvenie single cask (which she called "mr. belvedere) .
