Hi Gracie, Pepper, Bear.

Gutters finished for now. She needs new screens.
It was only 1 run over the patio. The rest.....I guess will wait for about a week or so until she has time to be around and watch me fall off the ladder. We need to price the new screens too. And any additional sealing can't be done well in the rain. :(

Chipmunk bite!!!

Neighbour cat was harassing and torturing the poor thing (playing dead, but breathing) so Bear to the rescue. It started flopping and flipping and trying to walk, but it appeared injured. Scooped it up in hands to relocate to a safer place. Then BITE!!! I did manage to scoot it under the deck through lattice. Then in to scrub and alcohol and Flintstone Band-Aid [tm] it. The ungrateful beast. And they are so rare around here. It may be the third or fourth one I've actually seen since 1977.

Decided against the mums and kale. Their showy season is so short up here, I couldn't justify the cost. Plus, they were in these gaudy fluorescent green pots that would sear retinas. What would have been wrong with brown?... or a Fall camo pattern? No... eye-burning green. (FYI: no plans to plant them in-ground... just plop in strategic locations.)

Low humidity and 75 degrees... so back out with me.

he's like a shiney copper penny, gracie! ;) when they adopted him he was overweight with a dull, dull coat!

my boy is gonna be in for some hard times! ;) he sort of got the blame last year for not calling petey's name loud enough and therefore making him meander off to the side and begging for scritches. this year dil positioned herself at the receiving line

If the yells of 'roll tide Roll' in the parking lot of the apartment behind my house are any clue, Pepper might be a teensy but disappointed. (I'm not a Tide fan)

Dogs are shiny (almost like Petey but not quite so long or so fast), house is de-furred, laundry is almost done and frozen pizza in the oven.

Hope y'all have had a good day

thanks, ces. I would be disappointed if I expected florida win... so no. Actually florida showed more than I expected against the #2 football team in the nation. enjoy your frozen pizza.:)

let's hope that bite was minor and your tetanus shots are up-to-date, lol! and keep an eye on that wound - while risk of rabies with rodents is minimal it is not non-existent!

Yes... tetanus and pneumonia shots in early August (and pertussis mixed into one of them). The bite spot looks fine... but it throbs like I recall when a pet hamster bit me during my more formative years. But THAT sucker would not let go... It latched onto my finger through the cage. A LOT more blood then, too.
