ACA 2015
The plan I am on and will be "automatically rolled into" is increasing 11.16%. If the 2015 subsidy remains the same as 2014, *my* increase will be 39.39%.
Should I start sycophantic kow-towing to the slimes-in-power NOW or later?
HOWEVER:
Communication from NY states this:
You qualify for a tax credit up to $0.00 per month to help
pay for your health coverage. You can apply all or part of
this credit to your monthly bill.
This eligibility is effective January 1, 2015.
You qualify for a tax credit for two reasons:
because you are not eligible for Medicaid and
because federal and state data sources show your income
is between $16,105.00 and $46,680.00. This is the income
range for tax credits based on your household size.
You cannot receive reductions in out-of-pocket costs like
deductibles and co-pays because your income is above the
allowable income limit of $29,175.00.
So here we go again with another totally f'd-up system that says my (MAGI) income is >$29,175 (how was THAT determined???) and I am not eligible for ANY subsidy.
There is NOTHING I can do about this until 16nov14. When I called, they said they cannot even converse with me, AT ALL, until that date which happens to be a SUNDAY and, yeah, I'm sure they will be just vibrating to take my call on a SUNDAY.
Nothing else to do but simmer until then. Caged animal with them poking sticks at me.
