let me tell you, pepper! that little
istick is something else

tweety should get hers tomorrow - let's see what her opinion is!
OK, It's here and I've been playing with it for a couple of hours. Thanks, Tibs!
It sure is something else. I love everything about this device. It's fun to use, the OLED screen is wonderful in its simplicity and clarity--and I love the fact that it displays all the relevant information all at once. To get the same info on my ProVari I'd have to click 378 times--or so.

Of course, the information I get from my ProVari happens to be accurate, which can't be said about the Stick--it's off by one whole volt--in most settings.

But I could live with that, I'm an experienced vaper so I know already how to make those adjustments. But for for a new, unsuspecting user who doesn't spend hours on ECF it must be annoying, if not dangerous.Eleaf/iSmoka really needs to fix that. I don't even care if it downregulates--but the readings should be accurate. You can't bloody make a device that puts out 4.2v at the 3.0v setting.
And then there's that wonky 510 connection--it works great right now with my Aerotank--no spacers needed. But I know that if I over tighten anything on it, that pin will get pushed in right away. And the threads really look soft, weak and shallow--there is very little doubt in mind that in a couple of months or so they will start showing wear and eventually get stripped bare. I will not buy that bending adapter that Eleaf is offering--unless they sell it for a couple of bucks. I may consider getting a generic AFC to protect the threads, even though I know it won't sit quite flush on the device.
So, in summary--this is a great little battery; it's small yet surprisingly sturdy, it fits perfectly in my hand, I love the button placement, I love the rounded edge, I love using it! Does it work better than my ProVari, my Zmax or my MVP2--at comparable settings? I don't think so. 4 volts is 4 volts is 4 volts--no matter how it's delivered. Would I buy another one? I don't think so. But if they fix the 510 connection in version 2, which I'm sure they are working on, I'll be all over it! Unless, of course, something better appears on the
vaping scene, like MVP3 with DNA 30 chipset or DNA 40 with temperature regulation. I'm also considering a Vapor Shark.
Having said that, after using this little gizmo for a couple of hours, I'm sure I will never buy another big and heavy tube mod--I think their reign is over. Those little DNA boxes will rule the
vaping world from now on--at least for a while!
