I'm completely lost. Someone help. I just saw this new Aspire Atlantis tank. It's sub ohm (.5) vaping? All I know is that it produces clouds. Heck, I don't even know what BVC, BDC, RBC, etc., mean. All I know is I have a Anyvape Davide glassomizer... that takes kanger bottom coils.

I want to try this atlantis tank. Do I need the DNA 30 or 40... whatever the heck that is. I read people were using this. Can I use my provari with the Atlantis tank or do I need to get a new mod; and what mod?

I don't expect anyone here to walk Poor Pepper thru this, but at least point me in the right direction so I don't set up something that will blow me up.:?:

Pepper, I think the new aspire is the first commercially available sub ohm carto. It should will on any mod that will fire a carto of less than 1 ohm...which probably limits you to mech mods, or DNA mods. It is, as far as i know not the temperature controlled carto with nickle wire. I suspect there are threads about it in the carto or mod sections of the forum, but i haven't looked at it in any detail.

off to the gym.:) thanks, ces, & atty. I would love a couple of suggestions for a mod to go with the Aspire Atlantis. I am assuming the dna 30/40 is some kind of chip board? What mod would have this in it. I also noted that aspire is selling a battery to go with the Atlantis sub ohm tank, but I would rather stay away from that; however, I won't rule it out.:)

thanks, you guys are the best.:)

I'm not keeping up with that stuff either.

Here's a review by PB and he mentions 35 and 45 watts. So you want watts...
(You're also cloud chasing...:( But to each their own... ;))

Now, you'll either want a mech with the proper battery and safety and personal knowledge to stay safe, or get a DNA 40 or better device. Now PB has two mods he's using in that video...so watch it and get the dirt.

Also, here's an interesting thread:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ire-sub-ohm-series-battery-atlantis-tank.html

I don't cloud chase, so my vapor is a lot less. However, I do know you'll want LOW nic juice with that much cloud. The bigger the clouds, the lower the nic you want...or you'll choke. You get more nic-hit from those clouds (surface area calculation?). Also you'll go through a lot of juice. May want to learn about DIY too IF you cloud chase all the time.

Basically, it's a .5 ohm coil. Remember that wattage is calculated based on voltage and ohms. (of course there's other stuff too...like amps).
.5 ohms at 4.0 volts (like for a mech) is voltage squared divided by ohms....so 4 x 4 / .5 = 32 watts. PB said 35 watts or more. So he's turning up the voltage (can't do that with a mech) or using freshly charged batteries at 4.2 volts ....4.2 x 4.2 / .5 = 35.+ watts.
