What kind of batteries are you using, tibs?
I'm looking at batteries to go with my new vaporshark mod. it comes with LG 18650 IMR 35 amp battery. I don't know if i'll stick with this or go with something else.
The sony vtc5 seems to be all the rage, but it looks like they are no longer made. And if they are, you're lucky to find a real one. I was looking on amazon and all of the them being sold there have reviews saying they are fake. You would think Amazon would pull these fakes down.

this has 2 18650s - lgs, i believei'd have to check my ebay buys to get the details

The whole battery thing is very....iffy. Only buy from very reliable sources...and check reviews. There's so many knock-offs that it's impossible to sort out.
35 amps should be fine. Remember volts x amps = watts. Or watts/volts = amps. So 35 amps at 4 (or 3.x) volts is a lot of watts (over 100). Of course, you don't want to push it that hard.
P.S. Of course, what you have to consider (particularly for mechs) is failure modes so you want high-amp safe chem batteries. Think of a short as infinite ampsSo the more it can tolerate the better, but how it fails in a short matters too.
Regulated mods have internal cut-offs that help protect against that type of thing (assuming the short doesn't by-pass the electronics).
