Good morning Fran, Tibs, Atty and Gracie.

We have a warm week in store. It's 60 right now, and we'll range between lows in the 50's and high's around 70. :)

P.S.

Hey CES. Can you talk to me about nicotine and PH and e-juice? Do you DIY and using what PH, or don't you care about PH?

A little. I had to look it up.

I don't DIY, but i wouldn't recommend adding anything to liquids to change the pH. A mistake in measuring pH could make one's lungs quite unhappy. And anyway, it wouldn't seem to be necessary.

It looks like the pH of both PG and VG are around 7, though i couldn't find a decent reference for VG pH. and the reports i found indicate that nicotine is absorbed better when it's around physiological pH (~7.4).

Apparently the nicotine in cigarette smoke is relatively acidic, and i think i remember that one reason that ammonia (a base) was added to cigs was to increase nicotine absorption. When you raise the pH the nicotine is more readily absorbed in the mouth and nasal passages- which is what we want for vaping.

Morning CES. Thanks. :)
That was my assumption too (leave well enough alone) however, I found an old thread that was suggesting adding an acid, and I was curious. They claimed it was less harsh that way. Now I assumed that nic-base was already acidic and what little I found about PG and VG said the same as you did...neutral. So IDK why the user was adding lemon juice/vinegar. I suspect that the water content did the most good. ;)
