It was a very pleasant 46 here and a great deal of snow has gone. The roofs are clear. Warm spell is over and we go down to 14 tonight.
It took me until 1:30am to get thru the process.only lights on tree.![]()
The lights were on..........
Well get to it then![]()

lol. It may happen tonight, but there is football.![]()
yesterday you said tomorrow - get with it!![]()
I'd get both if I could...gives you more options. Thinner wire = more resistance, so you can make higher ohm (cooler) coils or same-ohms but smaller/less loops. Of course, the super-sub-ohm stuff is 28 or 26 even (but that's kanthal/nichrome). IDK how nickel compares with kanthal in terms of ohms per inch for a given gauge wire.

It must be the day for strange purchases. I purchased some beer today. I seldom drink (and will only drink 1 beer in a day, these days). I got some Sam Adams for the Holidays. I was thinking of it because of checking/clearing my 'likes' and the list of people on the left-panel, along with all the electrical/electronics talk lately, make me think of my friend Java_AZ. He is (or was?) a cool guy. Helped me a lot with electronics discussions in the modder's section. Hasn't been posting for almost 2 years now (not a good sign).
nickel 200 is usually considered a no-resistance wire. for the 28 here are the specs
resistance at 20°C: 1,1 Ohm/m ..... 0.34 ohm/ft
for the 30
resistance at 20°C: 1.8 Ohm/m ..... 0.56 ohm/ft
i remember himso many have just disappeared .............
lol. thank you. that doesn't mean a whole lot to me. Although, I know a lot more than I did a week ago. I was looking on amazon and apparently this stuff is selling/sold out. I did find temco industries website and you can order it directly from them for real cheap.![]()
lol! one thing should be plain thoughto get to your hoped-for 1 ohm you gonna have to wrap a 2ft coil at least
hiya, pepper man!
