Yeah... however, istick's 4V is more like real life 5V.

I don't have a Provari; but the iStick @ 4V compares very favorably with the Vamo @ 4V (RMS).

(I vape only DIY peppermint and have since about 9 months into vaping, so no matter what power source or 'topper' I'm using, I have the same juice. And I'm constantly 'fine tuning' the voltage [or wattage with the iStick as it's the first VW mod that I've gotten that does 0.1W increments] in 0.1 increments - I may vary the voltage from 3.9 - 4.2 during the day.
Just sayin' that the iStick (for me) gives the same vape as the Vamo in RMS; maybe if I ever get a Provari, I'll be vaping in the high 4s to low 5Vs :D ;) ).

Right on.

If you like high-wattage vaping, the DNA 40 technology is the way to go, IMO. You'll get it soon enough and you'll be happy with it. In the meantime, practice your nickel coil winding skills. I just read somewhere that peeps are twisting nickel and kanthal wires together and it apparently works with Evolv's temperature sensing. :D

Buying just any high-wattage mod at this point is just plain, sheer tomfoolery (sorry, Catt! :))

 Oh!

Better than snow day..............

:grr: :D Actually got a coating of snow overnight :rickroll:

I don't see how that could possibly work, since the temp-sensing is based on resistance measurements and kanthal would alter the resistance. Questionable claim, IMHO.

EDIT: However/disclaimer: I haven't looked into the details either. They could make an adjustment and "delta" the setting to allow for kanthal and the variation in resistance of the nickel wire results in some wattage adjustment by the device. However, they probably aren't getting what they think they are getting. So they are back to "mostly go by feel/results" type of changes.

agreed. I did read what the guy said and I believe he mentioned he was getting different readings with the same set-up. So the chip knew it was being messed with.:D

Good morning Fran, Tibs, CES Sgt & Atty

According to one of the F/B groups, some idiot flying on Southwest airlines went into the rest room and vaped and it set off the fire alarm. The pilot executed an emergency landing, and the idiot will possibly face heavy fines.

To be sure, this gal will be puttig all her Vape gear in checked baggage tomorrow. I'm nervous about that, too, cause I have a lot with me. Been gone almost a month, so I was prepared.

Lozenges are easier anyway in that case.
I don't understand why people won't use multiple forms of nic in situations like this.

I saw that Gracie. argh. But don't check your batteries on your flight home- they need to be in carry on baggage. It's fine to have your PV stuff on the plane. Just don't use it.

I'm all for ignoring uneforceable anti-vape rules...but since complying with airline regulations is a very enforceable federal regulation, it makes no sense to vape on a plane. I use nic gum for plane flights.
