Luck. I last a whole hard drive. (along with a few years worth of collected recorded-from-tv sci-fi movies, that I chose not to back up because...too much info).

However, restore operation complete, the bad drive is out of the mix, and I'll see if there's any left-over surprises later as I work through stuff (data corruption happens with bad drives, but you don't always know where. Fingers crossed.)

Glad you're back Fran. You had Tibs worried. ;)

    UGH. Sorry about that,Atty:(

    Good morning

Hope Fran gets her internet back up and running soon.

the times has an article on chinese QC. It's a few days old, but i didn't see it until this morning

    http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/14/b...garette-boom-lacks-oversight-for-safety-.html

All was well until I saw Prue being quoted. And then antifreeze.

Another example of NYT's lazy journalism. They send a reporter to China and all I get is Prue and complaints about poor Chinese manufacturing practices? Oy....

it worked for me ;) but lol!

never mind e-liquids - what about that ceramic filler in the aspire bvcs, mr qiu? :D

In all fairness, Mr. Qiu didn't put any fiberglass paper in his atties yet. :D

I was glad to hear that joyetech and Kanger are aware of the FDA dooming regulations.

BTW, it is deliciously ironic to hear Chinese companies complaining about clones and knockoffs. ;)

    Hiya Tibs!

    Wallpaper removal sounds depressing...

Yea, Joyetech and Kanger are two companies that have been good for me. And they've been good for a very long time.
