Drip tip? Are the wicks saturated? What toppers at what resistance are you using?

You were getting dry hits with your first toppers, correct? If you're using different toppers it still could be a wicking issue, or too hot, or too cool....

(it's not like i'll actually be able to tell anything from your answers, but someone who knows something might)

Is there any difference when you change the voltage on the twist?

I do have a protank and i run it fairly cool (6.5 watts...~4V with a 2.4 ohm coil). I sometimes have trouble with plastic-y taste with a new head. There's a rubber/plastic thingee at top of the head that the center post goes through. If i wash that (an alcohol rinse seems to work) the taste does go away. If i don't wash it, the taste goes away eventually on it's own (but yuck) . I dunno if it's the same thing that you're experiencing.

No, the only thing that changes if I lower the voltage is the throat hit and vapor decreases a bit. It really is more of a metallic than plastic taste, but I can try washing that thingy. ^^^^^^ It's okay if it gets wet? Do I need to let it dry? I feel like I get a metallic taste with all the toppers I have that are bottom fed. I have tried several now.

Have you tried turning it up?

You may be more sensitive to metallic taste? are you getting it from liquids from different vendors? If it's across all types of toppers then might it be your liquids?

the taste i get is rubber. the piece I'm thinking about is just a cover, so it hasn't been a problem for me to take it off and wipe it and put it back on.

Sorry that i'm not much help.

Okay, so wash before using. Got it. Atty, I clean the battery head regularly. Every time I get ready to recharge the battery I clean it out with a q-tip.
So guess what I did today? Please tell me I'm not the only one who has ever done this:
I was trying to unscrew the tank from the battery and accidentally unscrewed the tank from the bottom piece you take off to refill. Juice just started pouring out all over the place. AND it was the juice that I just found that I really like.

Tibs,
How do you clean them? Just run them under water?
Thanks everyone - again!
