example - you post a link but instead of the url it shows your description .........

I'm pretty sure it involves brackets somewhere

The pattern works like this....


[url]blahblahblah.com[/url]

becomes

[url=blahblahblah.com]Your description goes here[/url]


Note the closing right bracket moves and the new version has an equals sign

now i had to look up noparse

VB includes a tag called noparse which you can use for displaying BB code as normal text. Any BB code enclosed by the noparse tags will be ignored when the post is parsed and rendered to the browser.
