Car parts should get here today.

I can start the first 1/2 of stuff....taking fan and shroud off before they get here. Shouldn't be too awful bad to swap the pump. Cross fingers there's no other problems.

I assume you have a garage to do that in... and hopefully some heat to keep your fingers pliable.

Garage yes, heat no. But it will work out. I'll keep the pump and gasket warm inside until I put it on. I moved the RTV sealant (gasket seal stuff) inside last night to warm up. Just need to check that I have the proper stuff 1st. I think what I have is correct.

I'm waiting on word back from Tibs and letting it warm up. I probably won't even start until noon-ish. IDK when the delivery truck will arrive time-wise.

I think the biggest danger is cracking cold hoses. Bolts are harder to get out too. But I have optimism. (And not a lot of options. Could borrow a propane heater but that just fills the garage with CO).

I didn't think the parts would be here until late afternoon. But I can't remember who delivers when, and it probably varies depending on their destinations that day, IDK.

back from the vet - catheter was successfully inserted. what remains to be seen if there is kidney damage. tom gotta stay in the critter hospital for 2 to 4 days. will make a follow-up call around lunch time to see if his kidneys are still producing urine ..................

and fingers crossed for a piece-of-cake repair for atty!

isn't this condition common among male cats in their elder years? especially those that were fed dry food?
