The French toast was good today. Oven style. Worked out well.
Then, I found this article:

However, I like the French Toast much better.
Although, I've been informed through research, that the French do NOT put French Toast in the oven. Then again, neither do most American home cooks. However, it turns out to make a great difference in the custardy center getting cooked well and staying fluffy

Good point Gracie. However, it begs another question: How do you know "how you like it" if you've only tried it pan-fried? You have to experiment with stuff, particularly if you can use the internet and benefit from the experimentation of others. So, I like to try new stuff.
I now have 2 ways to make it. 1) "Normal" way with that "fluff" we call bread and 2) Baked and custard-soaked with "real" bread...I had leftover French Loaf.
Both work.

Love me some Italian sausage.......we have a friend who makes it! Used to be a butcher and now does it in his spare time for his friends.
