I know--we have jasmine, but some of my favorite flowers, like hyacinths, tulips, daffodils, lilac and peonies, just won't grow here. Too hot and too dry.

do like i do - grow the bulbs indoor ;)

i'm trying to beat the cold - you'd be trying to beat the heat :D

but bulbs are easily forced and nothing can beat a hyacinth!

I do. But nothing beats a tiny little hyacinth head popping from the ground in the spring. My garden in Connecticut was full of them. And you can't grow peonies and lilac bushes indoors...
