plenty of variations in temps at sites just a few miles apart - i'm in a hole and show a few degrees colder on a constant basis ............. sigh

We're in a slight valley sort of. Marlow Hill goes all uphill. We turn and go downhill on our road and a bit after our driveway the road has a slight uphill grade.

We got to 21 yesterday and weather says mid 20's today. Then it's back in the deep freeze.

To me, the 20's is the deep freeze, and that's where we are now. yuck.
we probably won't get above freezing tomorrow, but i hope that it'll be the last gasp of winter in the deep south.
I'd be a whiny mess by now and wouldn't have been out from under the covers in the past month, if i lived where you do, Fran.
Which reminds me, Atty (when you get here) when you were talking about the north vs south in the ability to deal with snow, it almost sounded like you considered Boston to be in the south... LOL

Yep...New England is not usually defined as "south"...except maybe relative to NH and ME.
Well I've never considered Boston as being South. Few hundred more miles would do.

When we lived in Philly and Va., I wished I could live in a warm climate, and now, we're living in a warm climate, we still get freezes! Granted, they're not long, but as Atty said, we're ill prepared for them.
Anyway, I have to head out for Ash Wednesday early mass, so cya all this afternoon!

Except that a freeze in Florida feels sub-zero. I remember wearing my heaviest coat/jacket when it was 60 degrees n Miami.
