for atty - my turning off adobe flash must have reset ff settings in about:config because this is what i found
i run hardly any plug-ins but data usage must be coming from somewhere ............. sigh
i really thought disabling 'automatic refresh' and setting flash to 'click to play' would solve it but there must be something else going on

main point - there's a group of people, albeit a small one, right here on ecf who have hung out together for years without getting into each other's hair and that's pretty amazing when you look at all the different personalities involved

Atty, my thread over there, was to explain the 3 original Snails and nothing more. Unfortunately, it turned into a Snail bashing thread. When I was informed by a Snail and friend, that the other Snails, were offended by my thread, I offered my apology and had it closed.

I can't believe my car insurance is going to pay to have my vehicle fixed. I got love bug damage last May when I was down: during May & June they are terrible and if you don't clean them off of your vehicle with 24 hours, they will etch the paint. I got busy and forgot to do it.
Anyway, every thing I read said insurance will not cover this damage because it's consider negligence (who me?). I contacted my insurance (statefarm where I hadn't had a claim in 30 years) and they agreed to pay to have my vehicle painted, plus my rental car.

jerry, this is going into the second day now and we don't need it! we're not interested in what happened 5 yrs ago - i was there, remember? it was martha's thread and you ran with it for a bit and then it changed. and it has kept on changing over the years - it is what it is now and we don't need to be dragged into ancient history!
