I'm back and exhausted. My mom is back on the ventilator and has pneumonia, but is still hanging in there. This is going to be her last time on the the ventilator, though. Everything else is fine. She can't get her lungs to breath in deep breaths and wasn't getting enough oxygen. If she doesn't get her lungs working, this time, they say the next step is a tracheotomy... 
I worry so much about her quality of life if this is necessary.

Reserved our weekend camping today. I figured on 5-6 weekends but hubs wants 9 so that's what it is.

don't you count out your mom just yet, lost! a tracheotomy, if it comes to it, might just give her lungs and airways enough time to heal
Thanks for the positive words everyone. This time just seems to be so much harder on her than the first time she had it. She seemed to bounce right back after the first one. That was 14 years ago, though, and I guess the older you get the longer it takes your body to recover from such things. I wish you guys could know what a special lady she is. She has to be here to see her first great-grand come into the world. She just has to be!
