Chatted a bit with Pokey tonight via gmail chat. She and the boys are doing well.
strangely enough, 40 lbs was always in my comfort zone - used to carry that all the time when my big guys were still around - but the 50 for geoff always felt like lead. it doesn't help that the barn is about 300 ft from the house either

Now if the rest of the car would behave also, it wouldn't drain the battery. (or the battery has a bad cell, or whatever. Will take time to check it all out. And motivation. And maybe $$$)

I'm with you Tibs. Hope it was a fluke. Maybe something "stuck" or whatever.
But Fran's point is good too, common cause is a short inside the alternator.
And about 100 other things. Car electrical systems...PITA. There's ways to check. I have a multimeter. So I can do some prep work I think. I can also just charge the battery and/or put a maintainer on it for a while and not frustrate myself by having to even figure it out...I can just "overcome" it and use a workaround.

I followed the link you'd put up for pictures of the VCC in Tampa....but it took me to the beginning of the thread. Going through the last 5 pages of the thread didn't get me any pictures either. Ya know, fast moving chat thread and all....hopefully Gracie will post some.
