I have a question. The Kaspersky anti-virus I bought for the new laptop will cover up to 5 devices. I just renewed the Norton for the desktop. Would I still be better off switching to the Kaspersky? or just leave the Norton?

... I just renewed the Norton for the desktop ...

I am an out-and-proud "Norton 360" user. It has never given me the fits and problems
which so many others seem to have. Anyway...

... this past renewal, I did NOT auto-renew (at over $97). Instead, I bought a whole
new package at BJs for $39. Keep that in mind for next time, Fran. (How/WHY do
they charge so much for auto-renew?!?!)

    Happy wet Monday AM.

    Morning snails.

Fran....Depends on what you use Norton for. Norton has other features too....backups, system check/fix, identity safe (password/login manager), etc.

I get it free with Comcast...so I use it. I also run other AV software once in a while to do "extra" checks for malware.

The thing is that often, the softwares don't play well with each other. Kinda depends. Malware bytes I run separately, for example while Norton is always running.

What you don't want to happen is to have both software thinking it "owns" the system and have them fight each other. I don't happen to use Kaspersky so I haven't tried it. If it has a stand-alone run, you can probably use it at the same time.

Checking for malware with two or more checkers is a good idea as one may catch what the other misses.
