you were willing to accommodate frisk-e :?:

I see a discernible difference... at that point, for all I knew, she was abandoned. Similarly, Oreo is homeless
and scavenging. If they desire to remain outdoor creatures, I'll provide food and water and create a Winter
shelter... which will be shared by the old lady's feral.

I also have to keep my Dad's cat in mind... I'm holding a place at the inn for her.

About the cat next door:
... it's reprehensible that NOBODY in the family is willing to help - inexcusable
... the Crazy Cat Lady down the road will trap and take it when push comes to shove, and either keep it or find a home
... it is "feral" to anybody and everybody EXCEPT the elderly woman, nobody can approach it much less touch it
... as far as I know, the last time it was vetted was in 2008 when I took him and his two siblings for fixing:

It is 95% indoors, but runs to the basement and then under the crawl space when anybody
enters the house. When outdoors, it runs away if it even senses you're coming toward it.

Look... I just need to find the gentlest way to tell a 93 year-old woman "no". :(

This might well serve any pet owner well as a wake-up call. We need to have contingency
plans IN PLACE should anything happen to us. I know I've been thinking about that the last
couple of days. Suppose in-the-liberal-sense-Hus and I went to the Pride Parade and got
smooshed in an accident... what would happen to the cats?

Idiots on every corner, Bear, just looking for a reason to be ignorant and bigoted!

And you mean that's all the news coverage was about?

tell her you committed to taking your dad's cats already - plural on purpose - but you have talked to a rescue (cat lady) for her and it is a viable option if nobody in her family will step forward

Maybe just tell her the cat will be taken care of Bear since you say the "crazy cat lady" will take it in if necessary? No need to expand and say "but not by me" :?:

Or gunned down by some Christian wack-o...

We're not all like that :(

That was just a featured picture. The actual article was kind of political and emphasized there is
still a long way to go. Kind of downbeat, far from enthusiastic. I would ALMOST prefer a drag
queen in a feathered boa. Almost.
