just had some horrendous news - remember the dh allergic to bee stings - i just got a call, he died at 7pm

that's horrible. I wish I wouldn't have stopped back tonight. You are talking about Joan's husband? That just makes me sad.

not joan, she took most of july off. it's brenda's dh ............... he was bush-hogging when it happened. like atty, i'm at a loss why there was no antidote at the house.

Yes, tragic. I'm rather surprised too....but like most things it depends on the details. I suspect he was stung SEVERAL times, and didn't get help fast enough for whatever reason, and the rest of the day was dealing with the results. Anaphylactic shock got him before treatment could be effective, I'm guessing, causing brain damage/death later. (Total guess). Terrible.

I think it's time for epi-pens to be OTC and in every household emergency kit. IDK if there's potential for abuse and why it's prescription only.
