Ending a sentence with a preposition is something I'm usually aware of, but the chicken's head analogy just called it like it is!

I let my participle dangle quite often.
It's just more comfortable that way, rather than being all bunched up.
I agree with Atty & Katmar Bear, it's a nice thing to do ... just because people don't anymore is no reason not to. Actually it's just one more good reason to do so
