My neighbor had a cat that lived to 23 & 1/2 years old. She was devastated when that old girl passed.

That is the kind of post one never knows if they should "like" it or not.

"Like" for the old kitty! :)
"Not like" for passing kitty. :(

Frantic Friday, all Snails.

... Wondering if/when the asphalt will be put in. Today? Tomorrow? Next week?

... Follow-up and suture removal at oral surgeon.

... Stop at prosthodontist to get the ball rolling for partials (probably not for at least another 90 days).

... Stop at big box place to get the pipe extension and 1 bag of "topsoil".

... Create havoc here in the meantime.

No asphalt as of 15h12. Just had a downpour, so sew that up for today.

Sutures removed. Everything healing nicely. Go back on 28sep15 for final follow-up... then he will
"release me" to the prosthodontist.

Discovered at Big Box that 4-inch PVC pipe is NOT the same at both ends of an 8' piece. W T H
So ended up getting a tapered adapter that I will pound in with a mallet and attach flex hose to it.

Havoc created earlier.

... so, totally on schedule! :)

HEY @AttyPops !!!

I've noticed my PC has been slowing to a crawl while on the 'net lately.

When I first launch FF, memory usage for firefox.exe *32 comes in at about 325,000 K (I'm including
the K, even though it's totally not needed but that's what Task Manager has). The more things I do -
NOT ALL AT ONCE, but over time - that number just grows. Not releasing memory as needed,
apparently. Once it hits the 1,500,000 K mark, I just have to close FF and then re-launch because of
the lag. (Total system physical memory is 16GB.)

Q: Any idea why FF memory usage would not be holding fairly steady?

Several possibilities. Most probably is a "memory leak" where it's allocating but not freeing memory. Unintentionally. Often caused by addons. Then, there's the "cache everything" issue, where it's just not expiring stuff soon enough. Then there's "bug in memory GC" where it gets fragmented and less usable.

I'm not impressed at the moment either. I didn't have the issue in win 8. So I wonder, somewhat secretly, if it isn't a Mickysoft "change" causing it.
