I am, to a certain degree. I have no idea what breed was the cat that took care of for a while, but lots of petting didn't really affect me. She slept next to me in the bed, and it wasn't until one night when I got real close while petting/snuggling and exchanging head butts that I started feeling the effects. An allergy pill solved those symptoms in no time.
If I got one, it'd totally be able to live inside; especially if it was one of the hypoallergenic breeds that have lower levels of the Fel d 1 protein.

Good news that you could tolerate an indoor kitty, Mad! I hope you find a rescue that has the lower allergen version. There are so many kitties that need good homes.
