    amazing ;)

How US students get a university degree for free in Germany - BBC News

while i knew fees were negligible for germans - i took advantage of that, after all :D - i had no idea the program was expanded to include each and everyone :thumb:

how's that for an outside topic with a positive note, kat?

I think we touched upon it a few times. Not many people would disagree, and if you can't get a disagreement, then no debate. We all agreed it was a great idea and some of the colleges in the states are starting to do that.

Before WWII, colleges in the U.S. were the playground of the rich. It wasn't until the end of the war, when the GIs came home and had the GI Bill to help them pay for an education, that the average "Joe" could afford to get a degree.

On a side note, the "freshman beanie" disappeared after the GIs came home. As the joke went; who was going to tell a guy who had fought at Iwo Jima that he had to wear a beanie? No one, that's who. LOL

i thought you were able to get the number while you were at the vet's :?:

Nope... a chipped animal not brought in by the owner-of-record sets the wheels in motion.
If they left it up to ME, I may not have followed through. This way, they are fairly assured
    contact is made.
