frannie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why wasn't the laptop working at the camp site? if the browser did not open kat is correct - you had no connection. have you tried the hotspot at home to see if you can get online?

No it opened at the campground but not here. I posted didn't I?? Think it was an issue with Kaspersky or at least that's how I fixed it.

That was a pop-up browser screen I couldn't get rid of. I was losing battery power too.

If you didn't already, maybe run a full virus check. Also, make sure the virus software monitors the connection when at the campground. Wifi is one of the most common ways people get hacked.
