Thank you, ladies. They drained 22 cc of fluid from her ear and zapped it with laser. Six follow-up appointments for more laser treatments. Hopefully she won't need full blown surgery with general anesthesia. She's twelve and a half...

I hear that. Don't know if you read about my baby (13 on July 5), but I will do anything to avoid surgery on her. Sending good vibes your way!!

i wonder if lasers provide a better outcome? went through surgery years and years ago but the ear was never completely right

Have used laser on my oldest for arthritis. Seemed to help. And they are going to laser Puggers to help the swelling. Piper (the oldest) LOVED the treatments.
