    Good morning everyone. :)
Today's a two-fer day. No sleep last night and I'm dizzy and lightheaded. :nah:
Oh well. At least it's Friday.

Aww, Lost. You know you shouldn't just stop your sleeping pills cold turkey, don't you? You need to taper off of them. Otherwise, you're gonna get WDs, of which dizziness and lightheaded are symptoms.

I didn't stop. I did lower the dosage last night, which was apparently juuuuuuuuuust enough to still make me dizzy but not quite enough to keep me asleep.

What are you taking and how much did you lower? So sorry you are going through this. I truly GET it.

Thanks, hon. How much I take generally varies on how desperate I am to sleep. Tonight, I will probably up the does, especially since I don't have to work tomorrow. I try to get away with the lowest dose possible, though. I think it's the Amitriptyline that's making me dizzy. Or maybe it's the combination of that with the Ativan. The Ativan alone never made me dizzy. The doctor just added the Amitriptyline a few months back.

Definitely the amitryptiline will make you dizzy.

That's why I try to take the smallest dose possible. Since I slept halfway decently night before last, I figured last night I would cut back a little. I don't want to take any more than necessary. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I was on it many years ago and had no problems. Last time I tried to take it, it really looped me out. Getting older has it perks and its downsides...
