I just thought this was sooooo appropriate for my situation!
bear is still in the planning stage - might be a while till he works up the courage to make a decision - poor bear
That would be correct, Tibs. That said, I would like to have it all done before Thanksgiving.
That includes any adjustments to the partials. There will be a three-month healing period
after extractions before impressions. If I allow one month for the partials to be made,
fitted and a few adjustments, that leaves me very little time to continue being a wimp.
So Tuesday will be when I give the green light to the prosthodontist to confer with the
oral surgeon... then a consult (I imagine) with the surgeon... then scheduling. I'm thinking
it'll be about 3 weeks out at that point unless I get in on a cancellation... like last time...

Planned cookout here with a few friends tomorrow looks like it will be a cook-IN. Forecast
for up to three inches of rain starting tomorrow morning. I can still do the grilling outdoors,
but we'll eat in.

...except pain in the budget. No... really... this is going to cost a BUNDLE. I'm close
to calling my financial advisor and asking him to tell me it's all good. I know it *IS* all
good. I planned well. I just like to have reassurance.

I do not have dental insurance.
We are not registered as "domestic partners". Plus, new people on dental insurance plans generally
have a 6-12 month waiting period for anything major.
I probably would too.

I would probably want nitrous, at least. I hate the shots in my mouth. To me, that's the worst part.
