I just posted and edited....;)

A special thanks to all snails too.

:wub::banana:WooHoo!! Congrats!!! :banana::wub:

On a more happy note. Heathers little girl Cheyanne has had the cataracts removed from both her eyes and for the first time in her almost 7 years she can see clearly. What a different world she has.

that's fantastic! what wonderful news :)

I am so angry right now. My baby's brace was supposed to be in YESTERDAY. NO. So, today for sure. NO. Was sitting at FedEx yesterday in Pittsburgh TO BE DELIVERED today. NO. Now they tell me tomorrow. I still have to go to the vet with Piper (wellness check and some tests) and Puggers needs her laser treatment. I am just spitting NAILS. The vet prefers the surgery over the brace and this gives her more ammo to fight me on it. Yet, everything I've read says she should heal fine WITHOUT surgery, but the brace will give her more stabilization with a better chance of not developing bad arthritis. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

argh....

G'mornin/afternoon flyby, snails!

Yesterday afternoon-evening-night sucked. Came home from work to a horrible smell.

Sewer backed up into my basement due to the Tornado warning hail storm Sunday night. :-x

Oh No. Eeewww. Yuck :(

Nail spitting must work!!! Just got a call from vet's office. FedEx JUST dropped it off!!!! So, she WILL be getting her brace on today. You can now disregard my rants...:?:

Whew!!!!

I ran out of bleach last night. Luckily, I have one of those old metal blade fans - 2" dia. with only 2 pronged cord, the smallest metal twist switch imaginable, moving tons of CFM - and I had that sucker on high exhausting the air out the basement door out back, with my two front windows open to allow fresh air in. I'll be bleaching more this afternoon, followed by Lysol bombing/fumigating the basement (while it's as sealed as I can make it) afterwards. I'll most likely leave the house for a couple of hours to let all the Lysol do it's thing.

still. yuck. blech. ewww.

Okay, I'm sorry; I don't mean to gloat, but I have some more good news. DD is moving in with her boyfriend today! I finally get my house back! :toast:
Now if I could just find the time to get stuff done around it.

Yay!! but i wish they left the dog....

Back home. What a day. Long story short, Puggers got her brace. It's attached to a harness that she has to wear all the time. It makes her back, near her tail, really itch. She was always sensitive back there. Hoping that will settle. Took them several times to get it on correctly because they had to adjust the strap on her chest. It was pushing on her esophagus, and she has a sensitive esophagus, too...

Piper has severe arthritis in her left hip, but her right side is the weak side. She will now be on pain meds all the time. Will know about blood work and all that stuff maybe tomorrow. They were BOTH very good girls, though. Which is surprising because they always shiver and shake at the vet's.

Maddy, the baby of the family (Puggers will always be MY baby), spent the afternoon with my best friend. So, all is well.

Severe storms headed my way again. They look really nasty. May have to shut down in a bit.

Hope everyone is fine and had a good day.

fingers crossed that Puggers gets used to it quickly. but still, itching from the brace still beats itching from sutures.

and it's time for miss daisy! ;)

looks like our luck might hold as well - storms seem to be going through to the south of us! just a little rain so far

We had the nasty one this morning. I hope you stay out of the path of this set.

...and now that I'm caught up, everyone is headed out. Have a good night y'all!
