Gonna pick a half dozen tomatoes and take them over to the elderly lady... and
find out if what I saw/heard "means" what I think.

What I saw/heard:
...her big grey-tiger tom sleeping on her back lawn
...crazy cat lady came and picked him up
...with much vocal protest from the cat
...someone came out of the house with cat carrier, into car, drive away.
I thought: He was being taken to a new home... it was his meowing that got to
me... like "noooo!, leave me alone, let me live here".
Actuality: one of his back legs is injured in some way and was being transported
to an emergency animal clinic (Sunday, naturally, at inflated cost).
So, still a . But I thought he was being uprooted from his home ( ) and that
the old lady was giving up one of her kids ( ).
I'll keep an eye out for his return.
Such drama.

My nosy-get-off-my-lawn senior self knew "something" was out of order.
