busy bee that bear!

Gotta get it out of my system for the day. Things to do around the yard. Empty
a few pots so I can plunk potted mums into them. Waiting another week or so for
the pumpkins... cooler weather.

Saw yesterday there was probably a "family meeting" at the elderly lady's house. (I was
out mowing and putzing, so it was hard NOT to notice.) Must have been 8 or 9 vehicles
parked. My guess is they're doing the "who's-going-to-get-what" thing.

It's sad, really. That is what it all comes to for almost everybody. "Things" you acquire
and treasure and love get divvied up... but most of it will end up in a dumpster. I also
saw the garage door was closed completely... first time since 2008 when feral "Mama"
cat took up residence there... door always open a bit for her to eat and sleep at night
and get out of any elements. I'm guessing she's on her own now. Well, she knows
where there is always food and water.

Finally witnessed "what" was/is emptying Oreo's dry food bowl almost every
night. A really nice skunk. Long fur. It was crouched down eating and
its fur was spread around the body like a furry throw rug. :) It emptied
the bowl, then went to the lower deck for a drink, its fur dragging behind
and around it. I'll keep the camera nearby in case I see it again tonight.
    Now Skunks are CUTE! :)

    Good morning snails.
Bummer Fran. Hope your cat mends.
Good morning sleepy headed Atty ;)

I have to make some decisions, Bear. I have to ask. Not because I enjoy bringing up old wounds. Where did that stuff come from in your reply to me about the leaves/tree? Why that post from you?

We have been politely - but sternly - requested by @classwife to "drop it".

We can take this to PM/convo, if you like. Nobody here wants to ready any
more about it. Will that be OK?

No, it must be public. There's reasons for that, and I'll explain why I'm asking and what those reasons are, but I didn't want to bias the question/answer with that right now.

But I have other options, I guess, if you feel you can't or won't answer.

If @classwife gives the thumbs-up for a public discussion, then I will oblige. I'm
not going to get a vacation (or worse) by disregarding her warning. We saw
    what happened elsewhere.

it is, bear - especially when you get to watch it right across the road. sometimes i wonder what the history is behind items i pick up ...................

This is right next door. :( There is a pile of stuff by the road, but not nearly enough
to say they were cleaning out... not for THAT many people for THAT long. No, I'm
sure they were touring the inside and putting stickers on things, lying claim to things.

And the lady is probably unaware of what's going on, sitting in her assisted living
apartment. Her greatest concern is probably for the cats.

And, of course, that seems to be the ONE thing neglected. :(
