    I think so, too, but...

Well... I vividly recall when he moved into his now-current townhouse: I asked
if he would like a kitty and he said if one was given to him, it would be named
    "Unwelcome".

See... in his previous place, he had a hot tub. He had a cat... but she fell into
the tub, could not get out, and drowned. I think that ruined any chance of
owning another cat. He did rescue a Husky ("Kato") while in the townhouse.

    Oh, that's so sad....:(

Yes. Whenever I think about it, all I can do is imagine the cat trying to get out,
but slipping back in. :( The room (an attached greenhouse-of-sorts) was her
favorite place to be, hiding among the masses of plants. Poor "Shana".
I don't even want to think about it Bear, gives me the shudders!

    Good morning.

I think I'd be wary about getting another cat too. :( If he still has the husky, a cat might not be good anyway. Huskys can be unfriendly to cats.

(anything over 5 miles away is the boonies to me)

I listened to the clock radio in my sleep for 45 minutes rather than waking up, so now running a teensy bit behind.

maybe the new house will make him reconsider, bear :(

Well... the house *is* on a large parcel of land with lots of woods on 3 sides.
I would imagine there are mice and moles. But I also imagine any cat would
be indoors-only (maybe not?)... and that house is sealed up tighter than a
<insert your favourite analogy here>, so any chance of a rodent getting in is
    minimal.

This past Monday, he had the house tested for air leaks. Something about a
huge blower... instruments to measure air pressure... blah bah blah. A
mosquito would have no chance of taking indoor refuge.
