Drove 170 miles yesterday... three different counties. Wore me out. Came out a little
over +$17 with two casino stops. Got blessing from oral surgeon to proceed with partials.
Picked up more Spring bulbs and three mums. The mums were almost free... used
"shoppers club" points since they do not carry over year-to-year. Dismantled three
geranium-and-spikes pots, plunked potted mums therein.

i'll beat that tomorrow - check-up time for oscar and spark! and no matter where i stop i won't be ahead :D

Today's 4 stops should be no more than 15 miles, tops.

At least you'll have good LIVE company. All I had/have are blaring/thumping tunes! :)

Good morning snails.

They do look beautiful, Bear.
I'm not sure I'd feed them though.
1) you have/want outdoor pets (oreo)
2) I have an impression they are more likely to spread rabies than many other animals. Might not be true, but I'd check.
3) That can happen with shared food sources.
4) You don't want them living under your deck. It will end badly if you use the deck at all.
5) They are mean critters.

I admire your caring.
I don't think you know what you're getting into, though. And oreo will probably avoid the area.

Good luck, whatever you end up doing! :)

If I close up the under-deck entrance, that will give Oreo no place to go... here, at least.

The under-deck has been refuge for dozens and dozens of various animals over the years.
Never had skunk spray stink... decomposing animal stink... audible fights (but I'm not up
and awake 24/7). I think most of the non-cat denizens are transient... they'll move on.
The only ones that stuck around for a long time were last-Winter's possums.

The old woman's feral began over here, had her first litter of 3 kittens under the deck ('08),
and she (and one of her sons) STILL dart over here and under there when, on the RARE
occasion :glare: , her lawn gets mowed.

ETA: The current "SURFEIT OF SKUNKS" (that's the official term) just HEAD in the direction
of the opening. I'm not sure they go under. They could just be going to the next house on
the nightly tour for food. There is definitely not enough cat food to sustain 4 of them. They
must be getting other stuff elsewhere.

OH... and Fran... "Norton with Backup" is now down to $39.99 on norton dot com.
I had to call and get a difference-in-price refund ($24+ on 2 years). If your
subscription is running out, you can buy it now, install later. The clock does not
start ticking until you install it.
