Somebody has to speak/act for the animals. They've done nothing wrong.
That's why there are so many rescue groups now. There are times the
critters need some outside help, and this was one of them. I remain firm
in that stance.
You're confusing what I said.
I was talking about how you handle the note situation. Not what you do for animals.
Leaving the note there was the proper thing to do.
What you do about the cat (AKA any other action)....IDK. Didn't comment.
Hopefully the note was dated, so that the person who left it can say (if necessary) the cat was neglected for at least a week. And you went and talked to the person who left the note- so now they have the full story.
