I hope your daughter makes teh real pies and the joke pie OBG ;)

We're good. Atty. Just busy, without much new to say . I am going to a meeting in New Orleans tomorrow. I'll be back Tuesday night. I made plans to get together with a friend there Sunday and there's fun stuff scheduled for meeting attendees on Monday night.

Ever notice how men like these foodie holidays so much better than women?
Don't get me started. It's an art.

The GF and Mom both work together to "do Thanksgiving". They do that in separate kitchens, then combine stuff in one location or the other. ;) Works out pretty well. lol. I just follow orders, fetch and carry. Occasionally I help cook, and am often responsible for making the gravy (there was this "comment" made about a decade ago...that will never be forgotten...so now I do the gravy as a peace-making gesture between warring gravy-factions.)

    (Morning Katmar)

Sounds great OBG. That's most of the work!

I keep thinking of doing something other than Turkey. Mom would go for that, but GF is a Turkey fanatic. She regularly makes turkey and stuffing year-round, or orders it at restaurants. It's lean meat so I don't mind that about her at all...it's good for her. But, I can do without it as much as not. It is traditional, so there's that. I might miss it. But then again, some nice 2 inch steaks and baked potato with other sides.....a pretty appealing splurge.

LOL's Atty!! The gravy story sounds interesting ;)

We always have at least two meats cause I'm not a turkey fan.

I do the bird in the smoker and make green bean casserole, baked beans, yams, stuffing and gravy the kids bring the rest :D
    Wow! I bow down :D

DH does help some but most of it is on me and DD ;)
