I have ALWAYS loved outdoor space. However, now that I am older and slower, it's more of a burden than a pleasure and THAT makes me sad...
bear, there's plenty of people who don't care one bit for outdoor living spacehard to understand but they do exist! i know dh is one of them
I can understand wanting to keep it simple as far as yard maintenance is concerned. Often
think about how many more years I'll be able to do-it-myself.
But having a deck or patio - which allows getting outside the four walls of a house - does not
have to be an ongoing upkeep burden. A few well-placed pots (weather resistant so they can
just stay out during the winter) can make the area attractive. Oh... and a grill.
Maybe he'll change his mind over the next year or two.
