FIREwood duty is done. Not much extra. Took a bunch to fill pile. Still more on the deck plus it's gonna be much warmer for the next 3 days.

Puggers has a checkup at 3, along with Piper. Piper has an occasional cough and her bark has changed a bit. Want to make sure nothing ELSE is going on. We treated an ear infection and want that checked, too. Temperature in mid 40's, sun is out, so it will be a nice family ride. Maddy stays home....

New York State sent me application forms for:
- SNAP (food stamps)
- HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program)
...and a ton of info on local food cupboards, thrift shops, upcoming job fairs,
etc etc etc.

I am NOT LAUGHING about the programs OR the people who need them. Let
me be crystal clear about that.

What I *am* laughing about is they think I need them!!! No, but thank you NYS.
I'll just take your health plan. Seems that was the trigger for the mailing...
which cost them over $4 in postage. (Oooops... cost NY taxpayers, I should say.)
