I am taking a break for today. My firewood Pile is greatly diminished and I need to deal with that tomorrow along with getting the lights and stuff on the tree.

I do that for my Mom every year. The wreath has lights on it. The plug is 6 feet away. It's soooo easy.

Now the GF, OTOH, I spend an afternoon there. Big tree out in front gets lights (long pole used) and the porch poles get wrapped with "candy-cane ribbon", and garland/boughs draping. And there's the snow-man, and she used to have lighted presents to put under the tree (I think they quit lighting so not sure we put them in anymore).
It looks great when done.
Then we pray that we get a warm enough Christmas that we don't have to leave all the lights frozen in the tree until spring...but sometimes we do (if it's below freezing, the wires break during removal. Don't ask how I know this.)

Most years now we spend time out on the deck to get some air

Goodnight, Snails.....feel hung over, even though I didn't drink a drop. Day after holiday blahs, I guess. And now Piper has a UTI. This poor baby. We are patching leaks left and right. And she keeps on being happy and hungry. What a sweetie.

Have a good night....sleep well...pleasant dreams...and a better tomorrow for all...well, for Tib, that will come Sunday, I think!!!
