Ty-Grr @ home and hiding someplace. :( He was all chops-licking at first, but now he's
off in the house in seclusion. I feel terrible about it.

No extractions.
No take-home meds.

Still $440+.

T'mato had it last year. Those are their first and LAST teeth cleanings. I see it as a
major ripoff, playing on our (pet owner) emotions. Take note, @MadOzodi ... your
kitten(S) should not require it for at LEAST five years. At LEAST. Protect your
heartstrings - unless you KNOW THEY are in distress.

Duly noted, bear! None of my cat-owner friends have ever said anything about meow-meows needing their teeth cleaned.

So, I've been shopping for the biggest litter box possible...any suggestions?

Get a big plastic "pad" to go underneath it. Like a big version of a baking sheet-pan...
They have automated litter-boxes too. IDK if that's worth it. They have built-in pooper-scoopers. Sounds pricey and prone to problems. You need a big-azz box, litter, scoop, bags, and (IMO) a base to catch stray litter off paws.

Clumping litter.
I know Petco sells litter refillable containers...so you pay-to-refill and just scoop the litter into your container. So after you buy the 1st container full, the rest are lower cost.
(Guess who often hauls the heavy container around for the GF? ;) )

Water and food bowls. Maybe in a holder. Not near the litter box.

And with that cat, you'll want grooming tools.
A brush with plastic-tipped bristles that are flexible, a comb, a slicker-brush, maybe scissors (blunt/round tip).

Nail trimmer. They make plastic nail-covers (in colors :p ) for cats too. GF's kid/kids's-friend has a cat with them.

Litter boxes!!!... get one of those Rubbermaid or Tupperware (or some knockoff) made
to hold Christmas wrapping paper rolls. Huge. We have two of them here and they are
plenty big enough.

Fill them with PLENTY of clumping litter... not just an inch... MORE. I pour a whole
42-pound bag (available at your local wholesale club) as a starter. After about 3 or 4
weeks of scooping, I add enough to make up for what was taken out. I have NEVER
completely cleaned the boxes... the clumping litter does a good job. Scented is fine
(I use Scoop-Away).

Yeah... teeth cleaning. I don't remember any cats - while growing up - that had teeth
cleaning. I see it as mostly a scam... but if the pet is definitely having problems eating
(or won't eat), it could be a painful tooth. Which should be investigated.

Morning MadO and Atty...:)

Wow, Atty, you be the go to guy for all things cats!!! I'm sure Bear will have some suggestions, too....:)

And I'd say good luck with tooth brushing a cat. Definitely start them very young!! Be prepared for lots of biting, scratching and hissing!!
I don't know crap about cats. Never owned one.
But, they tend to be everywhere.........And they think I'm fun to play with, walk on, meow-at and otherwise harass. Sigh.
I've hauled enough litter, cleaned boxes, helped corral them into carriers, and even helped bathe them, to be done with them for life.
